timeline:


2021-2022: 
building the prototype at holy spirit retreat center in encino, in partnership with pando populus + the sisters of social service

2022-2023:
building the first to-scale biophilia treehouse at lafayette park in partnership with hola and the felipe de neve public library

2023-2030 : 
building future biophilia treehouses along the southern los angeles river corridor at elementary schools (possibly esperanza elementary), public parks, public libraries, and youth probation centers.

we are recipients of UCLA’s 2021 transdisciplinary research acceleration grant in collaboration with profs. pamela yeh (ecology and evolutionary biology), elizabeth deloughrey (english/environmental humanities), and julia koerner (architecture and urban design).

we are subgrantees on a 2021-22 Mellon grant.

in 2020, we won a grant from ucla’s green initiative fund.
